It was always recognised we paid good salaries though, even Sir Bobby was probably one of if not the best paid managers in the division. He acknowledged as much himself when he took a pay cut to become England manager.
When Baby Ferguson took over he moaned about having no money to spend and said SBR always managed to get some to spend if he felt he needed it. But in the main he was a great coach who brought through some great players from the youths to the first team. Hopefully we will see that again with the current crop of youngsters. | | | |
