Hurst rides again 00:48 - Jan 4 with 2582 viewsBerkshire_Blue

Good to see Paul Hurst hasn’t lost his ability to charm a dressing room. After talking over at Grimsby...
Hurst said: ‘We need players in. There’s an old saying that you can put a dog on a pitch and it will run around, but you won’t do very well with a team of 11 dogs so we have to bring quality in.’

If he needs a new assistant to be good cop to deputy Doig's bad one, we could chuck in Lambert as well.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

Hopefully his players will give him exactly the amount of respect that he deserves.

That's not an "old saying"; and it's not natty enough to make it as a new one. On the other hand, you can put a doig ........

Perhaps he's aiming to break his own record for short tenure?

It's a toss up between him and Keane for the least emotionally intelligent manager we've had. I can't decide between the two, so will just settle for them both being tossers.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

No excuse for the conduct of either of them, but at the very least Roy Keane's a luminary in the game and is in a position to judge the standards of other footballers. I accurately kicked a ball back to a group of lads in the park pre-lockdown, and in doing so achieved as impressive a feat as Paul Hurst's ever managed in football.

Don't think so because Grimsby are not a mid table Championship side on his arrival.

Yet another gem from Paul “2 nil is a dangerous score line” Hurst.
