Negativity 11:09 - Jan 23 with 834 views | waveneyblue | This is a genuine question. When was the last time negativity in the fan base was this bad. Pretty much everybody (including myself) expect us to be humped by Peterborough today. Yes Peterborough in a match in the 3rd Division. Marcus Evans, you must be so proud.

Absolutely - can no one remember the North Stand in that last season, albeit it built up through his last two seasons, with some of the tactics and mind numbing displays. I think TWTD is in more harmony now though, behind the remove Lambert cause. The board was split 80/20 on Mick till quite near the end. Those Mick die hards still patrol the board today; some selective memory loss on how bad it was and got, and linking the pathetic appointment of Hurst as a Mick proof point.

Appreciate it was bad then, but we weren't resigned to a thrashing at home by anybody above us in the league.

It's the lack of confidence or respect for the manager that is driving the negativity , I still think a decent manager would get more out of the current squad and would be a better public face of the club to keep the fans on board . Poor tactics / team selections , questionable recruitment and poor handing of fitness / injuries and poor interviews , just add to the negativity . It's diificult to see any of the green shoots the club talks about ME needs to wake up to the damage that is being allowed to continue , he will be in for a shock come renewal of ST time if things don't change .

Given Mick had again turned water into wine that season, signed some absolute bargains including Waghorn and Garner who should have been with us for a number of years and had we not had a few injuries we would have done pretty well it's a weird one to have been the breaking point for us, given the season before we had sold Murphy, were absolutely dreadful and if it wasn't for Tom Lawrence we would have already been in the third division. But .... We got our young and exciting manager with a team of exciting up and coming players instead of dino-Mick and his average players and it all worked our amazingly well for us. I can't wait to see what Dyer does after Lambo has gone....

dont rewrite history. he kept up the first year and the only moans in the green un was about the length of time jimmy robsons transfer took. the second year was nothing like this, no comparison what so ever

I think the damage had ben done in the penultimate season, with the last minute sale and failure to replace Murphy. I suspect that had he been able to directly replaced Murphy with Waghorn and Garner there's have been a lot less disgruntlement.

It got so bad that we finished in the top half of the second division, something that now looks unlikely to happen again for at least a decade
