El Mizouni to Grimsby to play under Hurst (n/t) on 12:34 - Jan 29 by Marshalls_Mullet

Isnt there a rule that a player cant play for 3 clubs in one season?

If thats the case, a recall wouldnt be any use.

You can't recall players from window to window loans, other than in the middle window. They were only available on the short-term up-to-93-day loans which were scrapped a few years back.

Moving on a short-term loan to Grimsby doesn't make much difference on that front, Brentford are looking at him more long term, summer interest more likely.

think the point is, if Premier Clubs/Brentford are interested, then he should be in our League 1 matchday squad (in preference to Judge, Huws etc who will struggle to get another contract a League 1 level)

Shows no new manager on the horizon in my opinion.

El Mizouni leaving, and Will Swan in.

Manager is still being supported in the transfer market.

The moves in the transfer market are low cost in the extreme.

They will not impact on Lambert's future, we need more bodies in whether he is here or not.

If we lose at Crewe that will be three straight defeats on the back of 6 home defeats from 7. It can't go on forever.

It's tying the hands of any new manager in my opinion.

It's logical if the manager is staying, if they aren't then it's limiting the options going forward.

Any new manager might want El Mizouni in the 23 and perhaps a senior player will then be out of it and on their way out. This is taking that decision out of their hands which to me is a worry.

It could easily hint that nothing is going to change and the fans are depressed enough at the moment as it is. It could also mean nothing but it's just another message that many fans don't need.

Understand what you are saying but i don't think this decision is really as impactful as it sounds. If a new manager comes in, and wants to play with a 10, El Miz is going to be so far down the list, i don't think it will tie hands at all.

We need more players in certain positions e.g. RB, assuming KVY isn't returning, but Lambert shipped Donacien out on loan!
We also need a striker as we don't have a single decent one at the club who can remain fit, but we can't afford a decent one, so we're taking a chance on a Forest kid.
Bringing in yet more midfield players on loan is near pointless, although Luke Thomas looks promising.

So this is further to my point you replied to on the other thread.

Why is the club allowing these players to go out if there is someone else coming in anytime soon? Isn't it reducing the potential squad of any new manager and thus limiting their options?

I doubt we can include a clause to recall before the end of the season?

There isn’t going to be a new manager, sadly.

I guess we will see in about 3-4 weeks time.

If he's still here then I guess there was plenty to read into it. Obviously let's hope that isn't the case.

It's gone on too long already.

I'm reading more into it with todays apparently moves.

Just want him gone now.
