Wow, Parrott would be some signing for a L1 club! 12:32 - Feb 1 with 3024 views | Wallingford_Boy | Of course, I expect full blown negativity on this, as everything else, but he is VERY highly rated! Harry Kane type is what Spurs fans are saying, plus he's been playing in the Championship this season, so dropping down a division is quite a surprise. Lets hope we get this one over the line.

Wow, Parrott would be some signing for a L1 club! on 13:06 - Feb 1 by Wallingford_Boy | Usual suspects on here saying "but he hasn't scored" and "he is preventing our own players progressing"..... Parrott in, Jackson out.. yes, yes and YES. |
I mean, you said he would be "some signing for a L1 club". Why would he? Has he scored 30 in this league before? Maybe knocked 15 in the champs? Oh wait, neither? Well at least he's been on loan at Millwall. How did he do for them? Oh, barely played and when he did really struggled? Look, he'd be a great backup option but we shouldn't be relying on an unproven 18 year old to miraculously make up for Evans and Lamberts complete mismanagement.

Spurs seems to really rate him (not just fans). He has played 1st team football for Spurs. He has already played Championship football. He has already made his full international debut (not many do that at 17). He has scored goals at youth level. Yes, he did not score at Millwall, but hardly played many minutes and was often out wide. I honestly don't think what some fans expect!?! We are no longer a top Championship side and won't be a very long time. This IS a good loan signing.

That's not what Millwall supporters are saying at all. "Lots of opportunities, up front and out wide, not taken them" "First touch like a trampoline" "not strong enough" were some of the reviews I saw. He's had a bad time of it at Millwall by the sounds of it. 18, low on confidence, better hope he gets an early break and kicks on...

hahaha good old Millwall fans! Robbie Keane says he will beat his goal scoring records for Rep of Ireland, I know who I am more likely to listen to! He is obviously far from the finished article, but at this level, I would say its a very good signing.

It's a "who the hell knows" gamble of a signing, I'd say.

An 18 year old needing to come in and hit the ground running in a struggling team that creates fúck all is not ideal and asking him to lead the line on his own will further exacerbate that issue I've seen him a lot at youth levels, for club and country - and he has a good future. Robbie Keane comments may need to be taken with a pinch of salt though - they butter up their young boys whilst in the set up to try and retain them - there is no chance he'll break Keane's record, no one will for a long, long time as it is sensational. He's basically got 50 more goals for Ireland than anyone in history But this isn't FM, and anyone expecting a lot out of him is more likely than not going to be disappointed - that's part of being a L1 club now. But this isn't a game changer in anyway

HaHa we shall see.... But for all the negativity flying around the club at the moment, turning this one into a negative takes some doing!
