Lambos loans 09:21 - Mar 8 with 4609 views | Bluefish | Matheson can't get in the team Parrott runs round a lot but hasn't offered much Thomas was terrible Bennetts very raw needs a long run of games or not bother Harrop similar to Parrott runs round but doesn't seem to be in the game McGuiness strange signing but then got in the team and has now disappeared They all seem utterly pointless and we appear to be developing youngsters from elsewhere and neglecting our own I expect the other seasons loans will be equally odd

Lambos loans on 11:43 - Mar 8 by hype313 | Yep, agree with that. We need Parrott as Norwood, Hawkins and Sears all have dreadful injury records, so it would be wise to keep him, and actually I think once he really gets going and adapts to the league, he could actually be a key cog in our run in. Bin the rest off. |
A lot of comments regarding Parrott and his goal scoring record, but it’s other aspects of his game that largely go unnoticed or aren’t appreciated that have made a big difference to us.

Lambos loans on 22:56 - Mar 8 with 687 views | monty_radio | I think the real criticism is that we bought a job lot. We probably have needed a full back right from the off and a powerful attacker. Two such would have made a big difference instead of six for positions we already had, at least if some younger players had been given the chance. As someone has said, it's as if we didn't know what we were doing, or how to effect a real difference.

Lambos loans on 11:49 - Mar 8 by Radlett_blue | Whom do you think did pick the January loan signings? |
I do think there's a whiff of Evans chatting to his mates about one or two of them, particularly given Lambert's standing by January. Didn't he go get Walters off his own back during the relegation season?

He was brought in to solve the "lack of goals" problem. A striker who has never scored a goal at any senior level does not bode well.

Lambos loans on 07:39 - Mar 9 with 611 views | The_Flashing_Smile | Lambert seemed to be using my tactic on Championship Manager 17 - get in as many players as possible, regardless of what areas need strengthening, and see if any turn out to be better than what we already had.
| Trust the process. Trust Phil. |

Are we not a better side with him in it? We certainly look more of a threat with him playing rather than not. Is he better than Sears? Yes. Is he better than Hawkins? Yes. Is he better than Drinan? Yes. I'd even say he's better than Jackson. He's certainly helping Norwood with his game which wasn't happening previously. He's not scored yet, but he does so many other good things it's easy to overlook those areas which he does provide added value with. [Post edited 9 Mar 2021 8:16]

We may look better but we are still largely impotent. I think he has played 8 games, in those 8 games we have only score 9 goals, average goals per game 1.125. Average GPG before his arrival was 1.16, so we were actually scoring more goals without him.......slightly lol. [Post edited 9 Mar 2021 8:51]

How many chances are we now creating in games since his arrival in the side? Apart from Saturday, I think we can both agree that has improved. Quite a few games before Blackpool at home where we had single figure shots at goal. Also, with Parrott's work rate he gets us higher up the pitch as we get the opportunity to win the ball back in that final third, which we were lacking before. [Post edited 9 Mar 2021 12:51]

So, we're creating more chances but scoring fewer goals. That just proves how awful our strikers really are lol. I think we'll have to agree to disagree on this one ;-)
Lambos loans on 16:33 - Mar 9 with 438 views | TieDyedIn95 | Given that it appears that Cook was well in the door at that point, why on earth did Evans fund all that guff? Evans is a weird owner. One had he says he needs to be careful with money, on the other hand his spunks money away on behalf of a man he's all but sacked.
