I don't get this need to put him down either.

I know a chap who, although now retired, is a clever hand at making anything out of wood. Ex-chippy if you like, and a bit of a craftsman with it.

Anyway, he keeps saying "know what I mean?", sometimes several times in a single sentence. I didn't understand it at first but he doesn't even seem to know he's doing it.

Turns out he had a stroke a few years ago and it's become like a tic to him since.

Bloke's still full of knowledge though, very clever in what he can do, has a lot of knowledge to share, and it would be a shame if that's all people saw in him was this peculiar side to his character.

Just because he you kno, played for England you know, doesn't mean he is immune from people saying he could cure insomnia you know, and pointing out the fact that he says "you know" a lot, you know

I am not really putting him down. I love the guy and think he talks alot of sense.

He's Ipswich through and through and very much part of our history.

A player that doesn't get first mention when we list our great players - but a guy who captained England.

But he does say you know too much.
