He is most certainly aware of the existence of Haverhill. My great aunt Harriet has written to him many times on the matter of intercourse in the street outside her pied-à-terre. She is getting very tired of it.

Maybe she just needs a different partner...

I like to think im related to Nathaniel Ward. I bizarrely met yer man from the groundhog's in a 2nd hand record shop in Haverhill in the 90,s. I'd never heard if um, him and his wife just started talking to me. They were talking about some studio they were building at the edge of town and the groundhog's etc. I think they had possibly miss understood my long hair and dopey highs for hippie rather then raver. I thought for a few minutes they were swingers

Tony McPhee used to have custom-made guitars from some bloke in Balham whose surname began with Z...

Tony Zemaitis.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tony_Zemaitis

He started out making guitars in his house on Hydethorpe Road, Balham.

Other useful Hydethorpe Road information: John and Norma Major lived for a while in a flat at the Thornton Road end of Hydethorpe Road.

I used to walk along Hydethorpe Road on my way to school.

It is clearly a triply-blessed road.

isn't that strange, there was a time when hydethorpe road balham was big in my working life. how the years fly.

And so as the loose-bowelled pigeon of time swoops low over the unsuspecting tourist of destiny, and the flatulent skunk of fate wanders into the air-conditioning system of eternity, I notice it's the end of the show

She should stop doing it then.

She will not stop; she is a very determined woman and she has sworn to continue her protests until Mr Hancock has put an end to it, and she can once again be proud of her little show of flowers around her back door.

It is very kind of you to say so. Being a little older now, she doesn't always keep is as clean and neat as once she did, but nevertheless she does take great pride in the aromas it produces, and nothing delights her more than a crowd of bees buzzing around it of a spring morning.

Brentford fans around your Aunties back door? Good God man, better call the bottom inspectors.

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.

Ah, she still does a great job for a lady of her age. Its lovely to inhale the aroma and admire the pollination while strolling through the chalkstone estate

There is a band from the Isle of Wight called The Bees and when I worked at a venue they turned up about a week before they were due to perform and camped out in the car park in quite a small camper van. After the gig they hung around for another week, people were coming to work and asking 'Are The Bees still in the car park?', it sounded like we were waiting for Rentokil...
