The other changes I can see is Ward for Kenlock

Every single line up I see or come up with lacks any dynamism in the centre of midfield. Dozzell, Bishop, Skuse, Harrop, etc all bring different qualities but none of them add any steel or engine power.
Downes being out is a blow but the biggest failing of the previous management (and there were many) was not addressing this problem area. The loanees brought in (with the exception of Parrott) have not improved us at all. |  | | |

Although Downes has been missing for most of the season, and in his 9 starts in the league we've won 3, drawn 3, lost 3. Points per game wise, we're actually worse this season when Downes starts than when he doesn't. Stats don't tell the whole story of course but we ought to be able to cope without Downes. | |

I suppose that unless someone on this thread 'guesses' the team spot on and Paul Knows confirms it is correct then there is no harm done. It might not bother Paul Cook as much as it seemed to bother Lambert anyway.

I think people are mistaken if they don’t think players go away and tell other people what the team is - I’ve heard several instances of youth team players doing just that.
