Saw Freddie Sears and Troy Parrott on the by pass this morning at about 8.10am so guess they are in earlier than normal as never normally see them there

We should see noticeable improvement, at least to the shape i would've thought. Cook has had basically zero training time and to get almost a full week should be really beneficial.

That first training session.

Paul Cook pointing to the goalposts: "That over there is the goal"
Gary Roberts holding a ball: "Getting a bit ahead of yourself there boss. Guys, this is a football."

Don't believe a word I say. I'm only kidding. Or am I?

Think Parrott is a year or two early and Sears is 5 years too late.

A week of training ? They might be too tired for a game of football after that :)

I thought the shape at Pompey was very good for the most part and you could see what he’s trying to do so it’ll be a lot crisper with a full week at Playford. Besides, if 4 players hadn’t stopped with their hands in the air to claim the ball was out of play, we’d be looking back at a good point.

What’s the first thing you learn as a kid? That’s right Chambers, Edwards, Judge, Bishop....play to the whistle!

This is a genuine story, but Cook was up the training ground one evening last week when he happened to walk past our under 9's training. As he walked past, one of the young lads scored a goal and he shouted across 'don't do that lad, otherwise you'll never get a game for us'.

True story

I can imagine Cook saying that
