Not seen that before, nice to watch with no commentary and something about the film quality is nice. Is our No. 8 Viljoen? Nice to think my old dad would probably have been there with his mate.

I was there in Rotterdam and nowhere near 6,000 Town fans in the side stand. I'm sure I read there was 1,200 which was still a good turn out. Actually the group I travelled with stood behind the goal in a rain lashed open terrace.
I’ve a great shot of Town fans outside the stadium, flares, platforms and a big banner!

we were so lucky to have seen that team play those games
took it for granted at the time
TWTDs!!
At the time Keno, the players were genuine heroes weren't they?
I know i was an impressionable teenage girl at the time but I loved match days, meeting up before the game in the Crown and Anchor pub or the General Gordon in the town centre, then walking to the ground and standing in a packed North Stand.
Particularly nice was the feeling that no matter who we played I always thought we would win - and we usually did!

I was at that game and also in Rotterdam. I think there were 6000 Ipswich fans if I remember rightly with most travelling on ferries which were rammed. The Bruges game was the same, the following was fantastic.
A Feyenoord fan asked my enamel Ipswich badge and swapped it for his club badge, which I still have.
Did we beat Bruges 3-0 at home but lose 4-0 away and the same when we played Barcelona or is my old memory playing tricks.

Indeed, they were hero's but they were also 'one of us' if that makes sense
I can still remember that feeling when you went up through the Northstand and out onto the Terrace
Getting to the early (midday) for really big FA Cup games, that we won!! (I'm not sure which part of that is most surprising nowadays)
and overall the feeling that you were part of something so very very special.
we can count ourselves very lucky to have been a part of that
Check out Whymark on defensive duties and Beattie charging forward to almost being the furthest player forward when Whymark had that shot. Shows what players they were.
Oh, and had to grin at Beattie being nutmegged along with Hunter passing straight to one of their players. Imagine if Toto had done something like that .... !!

I was lucky enough to go to both legs and the 2 games against Bruges. Fantastic memories but they make what's happened in the past decade or so, much more difficult to swallow.
