David Lloyd is really good but pricey- if you have any Vitality cover like Life or Health insurance it gets you a huge discount

Ipswich has tonnes of gyms, it depends what you're after

I don't know how many CoVid has finished off mind you.

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

Ipswich Sports Club on Henley Road is wonderful.

Modern, clean, friendly. Cheaper than David Lloyd.

Gym, all the usual, tennis, squash, nice bar and restaurant.

Lovely family feel.

A second vote for DL, although the value is a bit limited when you can’t use all the stuff that makes it worth paying more — good showers, an alright restaurant, the steam room.

The pool’s good and the instructors, on the whole, excellent (if you’re into the classes — also, the really good ones appear to be a bit slow returning after this lockdown).

It’s about £70-80 a month for the use any time option, with a bit extra for the tennis stuff.

Spin classes in the carpark marquee are surprisngly good.

Third vote for DL but very much this re the current value, probably not worth joining atm until a semblance of normality has returned

Highlighting crass stupidity since sometime around 2010
