How much pressure are PC, and the players under today? 09:02 - Apr 10 with 2291 views | Pinewoodblue | MK Dons are on decent run of form too. I really want PC to be up for the challenge, but haven’t a clue what sort of team he will put out.

So why don’t they care and why has Cook been completely unable to inject that passion since taking over?

How much pressure are PC, and the players under today? on 10:36 - Apr 10 by pistonbroke | That’s irrelevant , you can’t cherry pick certain times of the season , the fact is we were. On a run and since cook has come in we are worse , lambert would rightly of got slated for the recent performances , cook has to bear the responsibility for recent performances |
We weren’t on a run. Three scraped wins by the odd goal, one against 10 men and following two abject draws is not a run or a thing of beauty. We’ve been abject all season, bar a game or two, and awful the two seasons before that. Players of moderate ability who have taken no responsibility and have little pride in what they do turning out for what they know is a garbage football club with zero standards. Cook has had eight games. It’s been disappointing, but the writing was on the wall with the Gillingham game. Any team that puts in a shift will get likely get something out a game against Ipswich. We don’t score goals and the attitude of the players has been wrong for years. It’ll take time to sort, sadly. The next few games will be interesting. The club is no longer playing figuratively for its future. That’s secure for the moment. The players are playing for their futures and it’ll be crystal clear who wants in and who wants out. It’s a great opportunity for some of them. Interesting times.

To be fair, I thought our performance against Oxford was ok. Yes, the Northampton match was abject.

Oi! I did not want to be reminded of that Northampton game. Though, arguably, Rochdale was worse...

How did you manage to forget it? But yes, Rochdale was probably worse, we at least managed a shot on target against Northampton. [Post edited 10 Apr 2021 11:08]

Yes, you are right. Oxford wasn’t so bad, but it’s a pretty low bar. Imagine when one day we go 10 or 12 games unbeaten, hammering a few teams 3, 4, 5-0 home and away. It’s been so long, people will be walking round in a stupor. This message board will melt!

Thing with Oxford, it was 'THE' game which the lineup suddenly changed, so it pretty much was fresh and players trying to impress. We had Toto, Wilson back, Bennetts was in, Kenlock was in who then played like roberto carlos, Since then, Kenlocks been nowhere, bennetts been injured, Wilson injured, etc

I think Kenlock’s been one of our best players under Cook - got a feeling he picked up a knock too?

I'm assuming he has but im not 100% sure, haven't seen it mentioned but then he doesn't like to comment on individuals every week but not being in the 18 at all until last week, I would imagine he has been injured. Be interesting to see if he starts today. I just think overall, PC hasn't had the rub of the green when it comes to selection and availability, such an Ipswich thing really. After the Charlton game next Saturday, we may be 'going through the motions'. Motivated relegation battlers will take advantage and the lunatic fringe will call for Cook's resignation. All completely irrelevant to the new era that starts on May 9th.
| ITFC shall rise like a phoenix from the ashes of its long decline! |

Some would argue we’re going through the motions already.

How much pressure are PC, and the players under today? on 12:14 - Apr 10 with 502 views | unstableblue | I have a bad feeling about today Pinewood. Think MK Dons have settled into a defined way of playing, possession based, some decent results, fortunately it is a bit toothless at times and the lost to Crewe Monday. But I think Martin is going to have them up for this. As for Town and Cook. Monday was nothing short of appalling. He must be expecting a reaction from the players. But Cook is struggling to get the players to perform and to find a system that works. Unlike MK Dons who are settled and under little pressure. I genuinely believe Cook has been unsettled by the takeover - he was not in the loop as some people have decided - I just hope he can use it as an advantage to motivate the players! Not a hindrance. A loss - and not sure Cooks press conference will be easy. Win - and it gives the players, new owners and critically Cook a lift. For once the fans don’t need one!! Well apart from some grumps like me. [Post edited 10 Apr 2021 12:23]

Mentioning change of line up can’t recall Phil naming so many possibles when going through the eleven he anticipates will start today. Difficult to know what team he will play, suspect, if wasn’t for events since Rochdale, we would have seen several changes but he might just give some of them one more chance. Very difficult to predict.

Im hoping we could have 3/4 back Downes, Bennetts, Norwood, Kenlock, If he goes with a 2 again, id like to see Norwood with Hawkins,
