No London Road terrace down here next season I see, real shame that is for the home support...

Have they started building the new ground yet?

Temp seats will be put in the London Road end.

I believe the new ground was put back due to Covid & the uncertainty of finances in football & no crowds but no doubt the £7m plus earned via promotion will see things start asap. I'm more interested to see what the directors decide to do pre season, do they invest or sell our assets. I wouldn't be surprised if JCH is sold. It's not just down to DMac we have two Canadian guys who brought into the club a couple of seasons ago.

Don't you think Dembele will be the one they cash in on? Close to going in January wasn't he?

Have to agree that penalty was dodgy as f*** but I don't care. Promotion is earned over 46 games & it's great to have done it in 45. Promotion is worth @ least £7m so I'm sure we can get this ref a decent bottle of red.

On a serious note I think it was important to get promotion this year as I suspect league one will be tougher next year.

Operation vegeance completed #happydays

though in this case Lincoln have also done it over 45 games, or at least they would have if it weren't for that decision.

Don't boil a kettle on a boat.

No they wouldn't. They needed to win all their remaining games & also hope Posh lost their final game.

Debmele did put a request in during January but don't recall there being much interest. His form since then has been mixed. He remains me of Maddison, can dominate a game on his day but is far to inconsistent for many bigger clubs to take a punt. Someone may come in for him & you can't blame any player wanting to play higher level football but he may stick with Posh for one more season now we are in the championship. The grass isn't always greener & all that.

He has pace, good feet and has the ability to go past a man for sure, Fergie put his trust in him it seems, I, like many on here. wonder where Dobra would be with a bit of that trust, Dembele plays with a freedom that I hoped Dobra would be given this season..

Can't help thinking that if fans were allowed in, today at the end, Posh fans all invading the pitch, Lincoln would have sold out, could have been a bit eventful, not to mention afterwards in the town centre...

Should get a yellow for that retrospectively. At least. I wish there could be some sort of punishment for such obvious sh#thousery as that. I'd prefer VAR was used more to stamp that sort of crap out than to decide whether someone's ear was offside.

Disappointing for Lincoln, but they are playing themselves into some good form heading into the play offs. If they can avoid each other in the semi final stage, can see it being a Lincoln City vs. Blackpool final.

For a long time now this diving has actually become in the players eyes a skill which is part of the game, there is far too much of a reward for it that's the problem.....just think, if the penalty area was taken away, how many players would so easily go to ground then? They'd be desperate to stay on their feet in order to try and get a shot in no doubt..

It was a truly shocking decision, but if it goes in your favour of course you take it, we'd have taken it with open arms lets not kid ourselves..

Especially after Lincoln losing to such a shocker of a decision.

Not an impossibility - away to Charlton and home to Wimbledon, both who have nothing to play for, whilst you travel to Doncaster, who you threw away a lead away against in midweek. It probably wouldn’t have happened but the chance was there.

I said it was great to have acheived promotion over 45 games & it received a response that "Lincoln have also done it over 45 games, or at least they would have if it weren't for that decision.", no they wouldn't, they would have needed all 46 games & hope results went for them. If it wasn't for this awful decision Lincoln would still have an opportunity for promotion but needed 2 wins & for Posh to lose their final game.

Maybe I misread what the previous person was trying to say but I stated Posh acheived promotion over 45 games & their response was Lincoln would have done the same if it wasn't for the penalty.

Ah, I may have misread - though if it wasn’t for the penalty you may have needed all 46 matches to go up, depending on what Lincoln did in midweek.

The title of this post might better be - worst piece of cheating on a football field I've ever seen at Posh. Simulation is here to stay. Sure the ref is gutted that he got such a big call wrong. They work very hard to get to ref in the league, and it's better to call out the cheats like Szmodics, Fernando Forestieri who got Toto sent off, the list is endless. Never mind "he gave the ref a decision to make". Not shocked by cheating any more since the 1998 World Cup where Diego Simeone after a word in the ear of the ref to send David Beckham off inserted his foot into ex-Posh keeper David Seaman's groin to drag himself to the ground to "win" a penalty.

Those promotion-winning moments are always special to look back on as fans. As Ipswich supporters, we remember fondly Gavin Johnson's goal at Oxford, or Martijn Reuser's clincher at Wembley.

Peterborough fans will forever have that moment that Sammie Szmodics shoved his backside into a Lincoln player, threw himself to the ground and then proudly celebrated the success of his cheating as the ref pointed to the spot.
