How does the closeness of the teams have anything to with the quality of the league? You could have a super league of the best teams in the world and be four points off sixth with mediocre record if the teams were closely matched enough. |  |

This is the maddening thing about this, and last season. We had the edge in quality to comfortably get out of this division last season.
And it was spaffed away by not bothering to get the players fit, motivated, organised or coached into any kind of system.
It's turned what could have been a simple 'rescue' into a full on rebuild.

I've been surprised by just how little quality there is in the league. I didn't really watch very much third division football until we ended up at this level and the drop in quality from the Championship is massive. | |
