Dwight Gayle anyone 09:43 - May 20 with 1907 viewssnipes

31yrs old , scores goals wherever he goes , offer him good contract , who knows

2013 Peterborough United 20 (6)
2013-2016 Crystal Palace 64 (15)
2016— Newcastle United 69 (29)
2018-2019 → West Bromwich Albion (loan) 39 (23)

is he the sort of player town would look at ?

He’d be ideal, proper goal scorer, just not sure he’d drop to L1.

Well out of our league, even with optimistic specs on.

Presumably someone like West Brom will go for him to help them at the top end of the Championship. They will have some churn at the top end of the pitch and know what he can do. Sheffield United maybe.

Frankly he could probably get a gig at the lower end of the Premier League. Maybe one of the promoted sides.

From previous experience, we have to be a little careful of getting a good player whose fitness, through age or injury, has just tipped over a cliff. Lee Bowyer, Jimmy Bullard, Jonathan Douglas all spring to mind.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

How is he only 31. Lol. Seems to have been round for so much longer.

Yet still looks 14.

Not sure he’s suited to Cook’s system, but without doubt he would be frightening at this level.

Was good when he last played more than 2 years ago. Clearly a top Championship forward in his prime. Age 31, injury prone, best years are behind him. I hope he isn’t the sort of player we are looking at.

Our poor old treatment table could do with a rest!

He last played yesterday! One of 19 appearances this season. Tho he hasn't scored since December.

You may have been misled by the loan spell on that list.

Ta. Indeed, I misread it. Doh. I’m still not keen mind, but I suspect if he is fit, he’ll go to a Championship side anyway.

Unrealistic. His next club will be lower Prem/upper Chhampionship.

Truly impaired.
