Question for the London based lot 23:07 - Jun 1 with 1186 viewsBlueStreak

Trying to book somewhere for England Scotland is proving to be a nightmare so any suggestions for any hidden gem pubs that are decent and will show the football?

Happy to consider most options at this time.

The Beehive Vauxhall is usually quiet away from cricket days and has loads of screens.

We were meeting some family in London, once, and intended watching the Town/Scum match at any obliging pub - however there was a lot of Premier League frippery on, that day, and nobody was keen to turn any of their screens over to the important match. After ringing around a bit, I came up with this little gem: https://www.thebrownbear.net/

Very accommodating owners and staff; will put any sporting event on one of their tellies if asked nicely. Pretty good Thai food, too!

Highly recommended.

Just booked a place in Battersea actually, not sure how we have managed it but it is all sorted now. Everywhere is absolutely rammed, it is mental.

I'm London based and all my usuals are rammed and full. I might have a table for 4 in Mile End that I'm not using so could potentially send over the booking to you - if you'd fancy that? I'd need to confirm with my guys about our plans first, but will keep you in mind.

Yeah, struggling to get anywhere on standard Thursdays / Fridays at the moment so didn’t even bother for England Scotland

If London proves too difficult you could always try this place now it is out of level three:

They'll be showing it on the big screen at the Faltering Fullback in Finny P - although, beware, it is a hipster haven and you may have to sit near blokes who don't wear socks and have odd facial hair.

I'll be round the corner at the more, erm, down to earth Park Tavern if that's more your thing. Just don't expect to drink anything other than Stella or Guinness.
