Having met Ty , and think he is a good man , I have to object to his comments regarding people who object to the knee situation as being in need of education. To the majority of my friends bending the knee is reserved for two occasions, the first being to God and the second is to the Queen. In our minds bending the knee is a sign of subservience and submission. Nonetheless we are all aware that something needs to be done but feel free to object to something that has been hijacked by an organisation with suspect objectives.
Not all the people objecting to “taking the knee “ are being ignorant of the fact that prejudice exists and needs to be addressed.
Let people have their own personal opinions without the assumption they are all wrong.

"object to something that has been hijacked by an organisation with suspect objectives."

Which is surely what Mings is referring to when he says people need educating.

Including the majority of your friends apparently.

They’ve been asked not to do it by the manager as the players feel it is disrespectful to the black lads in the squad.

What more do you fcking need.

At least they didn’t seem to have the misconceptions you and your friends have in Baku this evening.

Oh, well if this government is so opposed to gesture politics I expect we'll see much less flag-waving from here on out.

And well done, Ty - top man!

He is a very impressive young lad. I think I've found a compromise. They get into a huddle. Take a knee and then get right into a chorus of Knees up Mother Brown - it's not any worse than the national anthem and could become our version of the haka.

If you object to it and acknowledge the prejudice (let's call it what it is - racism) then you are endorsing it. No two ways about it. It's the snowflake's "I'm not racist but...." in comment section form.

There's no excuse for it. Either you support the team or you support the racists and their entitled sense of small dicked disdain. Simple as that.
