Why is Gareth Bale thinking of retiring? 11:02 - Jun 27 with 2843 views

I don’t really understand this. Apparently it’s not just for Wales but from club football as well. I get that he’s on 500k a week at Real Madrid and that nobody’s going to pay that but surely he can either get a loan or agree to tear up the last year of his contract and sign somewhere else for much less money. You’d imagine Real Madrid would agree to that as whichever club signs him won’t be able to get a fee for him at his age and on that money. That said, 31 is way too young to be thinking of packing it in! The World Cup is only 18 months away and Wales look like they have a decent chance of qualifying as well. Strange.

He's told Welsh TV he wants to carry on playing for Wales. I don't think he's retiring

Yeah, there's nothing coming from him that suggests he's thinking of retiring. He wants to try and get them into the World Cup.
