Looks tricky to land, given how short the undercarriage is, very little room for flare (i.e. risk of bodywork striking the ground if you don't get it 100% right). Also that high tail behind a great slab of car body could make stall recovery very tricky (airflow over control surfaces becomes obstucted at high angles of attack).

Plus there are still the problems of pilot qualification and air traffic control if they ever became commonplace.

Tho i must admit, TG was my first thought when I saw the article this morning.
