Anyone ever had hypnosis? 14:18 - Jul 13 with 2504 views | Cheltenham_Blue | I've always suffered from a fear of heights, but It got worse a few years ago after being involved in a motorway accident whilst driving over a suspension bridge. Now, I'll try to find alternative routes so I don't have to go over bridges at all. It's something I'd like to get fixed if I can as it can be really debilitating.

Mine was also a static line. The beginner's 2000 ft. I was the last of 8 - It was a bit weird seeing 7 people disappear from a doorway one by one hearing their voice shout "One thous...." and then gone. As I was saying the guy in front of me lost it and was crawling along the floor back towards me, I have never seen anyone so terrified. He had been an absolute dick and a bit of a bully boy throughout the 2 day course and there was no way the trainer was going to let him get out of it. Anyways, is was he who crossed the A14 that day. I could maybe look it up but yes, the date marries with yours pretty much. Now the week before that a chap died on the A14 but that was a separate matter. He was an experienced jumper who had been at some 10,000 ft or similar who had possibly suffered a heart attack on the way down. Although he had deployed his chute it was thought he was [hopefully] unconscious when he got caught up in a moving truck. The driver was a colleague of my then step-father as it goes and was extremely shaken by the experience.

Anyone ever had hypnosis? on 18:06 - Jul 13 by jeera | Yep, felt secure; well-strapped into the harness like one of those baby bouncing things. Don't get me wrong, getting out of the plane has every nerve in your body screaming at you that you're a moron, but once the short fall is over and the chute is up you feel safe as houses and just enjoy the view. Then you come crashing to the ground a few minutes later but that's another story. Point is, as you say, I still don't feel safe up a ladder which I thought would be a doddle after doing that. |
Are you regularly strapped into an adult-sized baby bouncer thing then? Keno's told me about people like you with...ahem...exotic proclivities.

Don't knock these things until you try them.

I had the choice of doing the static line jump or the 12,000 ft free fall. Went for the latter as i was relying entirely on an experienced instructor to get us down so kudos for doing one solo. Hell of a buzz too. Still can’t climb up a ladder though. Roger Osborne’s sister organised it to raise money for EACH. Lovely lady. *Hypnotised to give up my 20 a day fag habit. Worked for about 5 years.

“Look into my eyes, not around the eyes, into the eyes. You’re feeling drowsy now and are subconsciously listening to my words. You will enjoy the football played from August 7th and will never fall asleep at Portman Road again” 3-2-1 you’re back in the room.

If we’re playing the 3-2-1 formation then it’s going to be a very long and ultimately disappointing season.
