I was sad to read this too. My old boy was a fan of his, they were off similar vintage.

Old school entertainers, surely by definition they will always endure though, every generation will move into the space vacated by the prior one.

He always came across as a pretty genuine, likeable guy.

Saw him do a stint at an awards dinner back in the ‘90s. He had people literally crying with laughter without swearing or being blue. A proper old school comic. RIP Tom
