I agree that the need for an additional striker at this moment in time is probably unnecessary, but there is a case to say that if Shankland was to join us at some point, and with injuries being picked up across the squad -
We could be starting a game with Chaplin at LW, Pigott at CAM and Bonne at ST, with Norwood and Shankland on the bench. 5 strikers can sometimes be unnecessary, but last season we had 4 who could ONLY play as a ST. Right now, we have versatility with the attackers. | |
