Not going to lie, if this was offered to me before Pigott or even Bonne turned up, I'd be snapping your hand off. Dominated the Scottish League One, then dominated the Scottish Championship two years in a row, and had a very good season last year. He's already scored three goals in four games this year. BUT, another striker? This could only happen if Jackson is definitely off somewhere, and he thinks Bonne/Nors/Pigott can cover the CAM role, because Shankland is an out-and-out striker.

100% agree - great player. He has been playing piggot in the CAM in the last 2 friendlies so maybe? Adding jackson as part of the shankland deal - why not

Maybe they'd take Jackson in part ex? What I'd like to know is what Jackson has done to getbhimself out of the bomb squad

If we’re playing two up front for much of the season we need 4 centre forwards and even if not, this guy sounds like an upgrade on Jackson and Norwood. Hope we get him.

Would surprise me. Not sure we need another central striker even if Jackson ultimately moves on.

From what I heard the other day, it sounded like Lincoln were favourites for that jamie robson... Surely its been decided by now whether its waiting for Coulson or moving on to other LB targets

I agree that the need for an additional striker at this moment in time is probably unnecessary, but there is a case to say that if Shankland was to join us at some point, and with injuries being picked up across the squad - We could be starting a game with Chaplin at LW, Pigott at CAM and Bonne at ST, with Norwood and Shankland on the bench. 5 strikers can sometimes be unnecessary, but last season we had 4 who could ONLY play as a ST. Right now, we have versatility with the attackers.
