A great start for Starmer's apparatchik style centralised party! 07:42 - Oct 15 with 946 viewsBanksterDebtSlave

"The new rule, introduced by card vote 15, means byelection candidates will be chosen by a five-member panel, three of whom will be selected by the constituency party executive.

One local party source said: “It is well known that Keith (Vaz!) and his allies have great influence over Leicester East CLP [constituency Labour party]. This rule change effectively allows them to choose the next Labour candidate, if, as expected, Claudia is forced out.”

I wonder where he got the idea of parachuting in his own men from?

Yes because the Corbyn controlled NEC that parachuted NEC member Claudia Webbe into her seat worked out well didn’t it?

There’s worse to come over the next few years. The intake for the Future Candidates Programme includes some of the worst Labour right elements who were pushing the antisemitism smears plus an ex-advisor to Theresa May!!

This continued slide right is just going to drive support elsewhere from the disadvantaged and disenfranchised throughout the UK. And it’ll be even easier pickings for Johnson or whoever succeeds him to occupy the same ground on the centre-right.

What a bunch of clowns.

Yes, certainly looking like it ... as they’re still behind the worst government ever who doesn’t even have Brexit to rally around anymore.

Is it my imagination or are the Cook Outers also the biggest wElL SaId kEiR freaks?

It’s almost like you don’t know what you’re talking about.

Certainly proved in 2017 that a return to more left-wing policies could stop Labour’s 20-year slide of losing millions of voters.

And proved that the establishment of Labour right and centrist hacks wouldn’t stand for it. There’s literally been nothing more cult-like than this defence of no policies and no change while the Tories keep picking up the spoils.

Total clownfückery from these self-serving and self-satisfied duds. It would be laughable how incompetent they are if it didn’t have real consequences for everyone outside their bubble.

Surely the constituency party having a big role in the selection is a positive? Obviously in this case the fact it's Keith Vaz is concerning but in most seats that won't be the case and should reduce the amount of dodgy parachutes like Claudia Webbe.

If it were one constituency member one vote I might agree with you.

Edit.... But we kind of know that Labour doesn't much like grass roots involvement.

"In Mansfield, Momentum and local party officers went against the Labour leadership to reject the Corbyn aide David Prescott in favour of the council leader, Sonya Ward."

.....damn plebs heh! What is it that scares you about a grass roots up party?

Fwiw Corbyn's particular brand of statist leftism is equally (at least) apparatchik like by instinct yet his variation on the Labour theme demonstrably allowed a greater say for grassroots up activism and engagement in the political process. But it seems that a certain demographic on here are threatened by that and actually think that sterile P.P.E. style MP's have been serving us well!
