2 shots all half, neither on target 20:36 - Nov 23 with 778 viewsDubtractor

We've got to be so, so much better than this.

I'm just not sure what our attacking plan is.

I was born underwater, I dried out in the sun. I started humping volcanoes baby, when I was too young.

Our midfield don't seem to know either.

We look devoid of ideas, always looking to play it back or sideways. We’ve had two decent passing moves in 45 mins. Their keeper has had nothing to do.

It's awful, and I feel like Jack Nicholson at the end of the Shining too.

It's been very poor from us. The limitations of the full backs going forward are being exposed a bit as they've got in good positions but lacked the confidence or quality to do anything with it. The three behind Bonne have been poor. Chaplin hasn't been in the game enough and Celina has blown hot and cold. Fraser has probably seen the most of the ball of the three but his use of it hasn't been good at all. Rotherham just look a solid and well drilled outfit. They do nothing special at all. But that's enough to get the better of us if we play like we've played first half. Big second half coming up, need a response.

I was going to add the same comment on the full backs. Both look terrified when they get the ball in the Rotherham half, and so promising situations just peter out.

Edmundson won't be with us long at this rate. Looks a league above.

We play some nice stuff... in our own half. Then panic and pass to Walton to root one up the pitch to Bonne who is fightng three centrebacks and has no one running on for the flick on.

Fraser is not a left winger. He's a good player, but not on the left.

I still don't know what type of style we're trying to play other than we play 4-2-3-1 no matter what. I shudder to say, but at least with Lambert you knew he went out to play a passing posession game.

When did League 1 mediocrity become the acceptable status quo?

Too much of our possession is in our half with meaningless tippy tippy back and forth across the field and back to our GK ….. it’s so much like the end of Lamberts reign, style of football tbh .

Another thing I find really odd is how we're willing to regularly pump it long to an isolated Bonne, who wins more than he should, and yet we seem reluctant to stick it into the box when we win a free kick well into their half. Indeed on more than one occasion advanced free kicks have ended up with the ball going back to Walton and being launched up to Bonne. I don't get it.

Indeed. Void of confidence or any plan.

Ha. That's another thing I'm been grumbling about here. Just stick it in the box occasionally FFS, its got to be better than passing it too yards to Morsy, who gets closed down, and then going back to Toto, then Walton.

I could understand it more if we clearly had a playing philooshy where we don't go long, we keep it on the deck. But we don't, we launch it quite a bit, so why not launch it into the box from a good every now and then? It makes no sense. Even if we have a 1% chance of scoring from it that's still 1% more than it is by working the ball all the way back to Walton. Crazy.

Always looking to score this perfectly manicured liquid goal. We are playing Rotherham in League one, just stick in some areas and shoot on site.

I know that was then, but it could be again..

Tough game. Rotherham are well drilled and proper team. Some top sh*thousery in there too. But even in that 2nd half of the first half I saw, we got into positions to hurt them. Trouble is, much like the weekend we didn't make the most of the opportunities.

Don't agree with Mick Mills that their goal was solely down to good play with no fault on our part. They worked it well in midfield, but you'd expect more from our CBs. Edmundson especially could have done better after showing Toto onto their forward. That just left a massive hole - one of those two has to try and block off the shot.

Mick Mills' blue tinted glasses are spectacularly blue tonight.

Every foul we get is definitely a foul and every foul Rotherham get is bad refereeing.
