If we opt for a 2 up top, and that’s the system we look to progress with. We have kayden jackson as our ‘3rd striker’ and Norwood 4th…. So that’s the worse that can happen.

We’ll be good again... one day

I can see Celina do a job as a striker, Chaplin as well.

Jackson in a front 2 shouldn't be written off imo.

We've barely seen him in one for a prolonged run of games but People shouldn't forget he has been a fair goal scorer in the past.

Piggot and Bonne up top together by homer_123 24 Nov 2021 14:35
I'm not convinced that they would make a good partnership as a front two.

A touch harsh, granted, as they haven't had the chance to really develop a relationship but I just don't see them complimenting each other - a bit too similar for my liking.

Rotherhams front two was a good mix of strength and hustle but with some proper ability in Ladapo.

Oddly, I can see Jackson as a foil to Piggot or Bonne, playing off the last shoulder of the defender for the flicks ons etc.

Or, maybe even Chaplin next to either of them - as a more tricky, skillful forward.

Feel like "change formation!" is always the last part of the bargaining phase as a manager nears the precipice.

At some point he'll make the change and it'll make things worse, then we'll know we're at the end of the road.

Doesn't matter if we don't get the ball in the box. Last 10 minutes on Tuesday were Pigott and Bonne just lurking on the edge of the box waiting for a cross.

Indeed. iFollow's stats said we had 1 successful cross out of 21 attempts. Just a little bit not good enough...

What's the obsession with 4-4-2? Whenever we have changed to it this season our attack got worse. The problem is our manager and coaching team can't get us playing well in any system.

Look what happened to Portsmouth when we played them and they changed formation at half time. Gave us loads of space in the midfield and we ran riot over them.

Our system would work really well if we had the right players out wide.

Also have to admit for the first time that Evans was not good enough on Tuesday.
