Why be shackled with a human manager? Let's blaze a trail and appoint a Supercomputer as our new manager. How about Deep Blue?
No crappy press conferences sucking up to the oppo, no cliched club videos praising this massive club, no dodgy tactics, no playing every Tom, Dick and Harry at right-back, no under-cooked loanees, no injury-prone journeymen, no dodgy tracksuits or puffa jackets, no v-signs, no numbskull-annoying, no continually playing the p*ss-poor player who has the incriminating photos of you, etc , etc
Just plain good-old boolean logic:
If you have a relatively talented squad: Pick you best players in their best positions = True If your team have the ball: Attack at pace and try to create chances = True. If the opposition have the ball. Press them and win it back as quickly as possible = True If a player has the ball: Pass to a team-mate level or forward from him = True If a team-mate has the ball: run into space = True If you are wearing the club shirt: Try as hard as you can = True

And quite rightly. Was just thinking, given that those who know far more about betting on here than me have said it takes very little to move these sorts of market, could a few bets on Deep Blue actually get it into the odds being quoted by the bookies?
