Nodge looked as dreadful as they have done all season. Watford looked decidedly worse. Unbelievably soft goals scored from very ordinary attacks. Sargeant's finish was the only bit of quality in any of the goals. |  |

Think basically everything went for them tonight. On another night the ref gives a push by Pukki for the first, the bloke who crosses for the second is an inch further forward and offside, they don’t get the deflection for the own goal and the Watford player who “scored” let’s the player who’s onside put it in the net. Think they had 2 shots second half and scored 3 goals. That plus Watford are absolute rubbish. [Post edited 21 Jan 2022 22:13]

Additionally, the keeper and Sargeant leaving it to each other allows the Watford player to head it into the net instead of it looping to a player to clear off the line, Sargeant's first goal bounces off the bar on the line and into the keeper's hands instead of just over it and Hernandez's long shot dips under the bar instead of against it.
Could easily have been an undeserved 3-0 win for Watford.
Neither side really did enough to win and both sides could not have argued much if they had lost. | |

They made some dough from sales, £35m for Buendia to Villa, but overall their outgoing were about £25m more than what they pulled in so they have invested a decent chunk of cash. |  | | |

But the bed wetting regarding Sargent’s goal IS embarrassing . Not all subscribers to twitter agree with budgie gas though . He stuck a reactionary boot / heal up and got lucky is the best I can credit it I’m afraid. It could just as easily have sailed over the bar !

Not really. It's a fluke. A class goal is one where you pick your spot and hit it, or beat a load of players, or finish from a really difficult position. He did well to get something on it, but he was as surprised as everybody else when it went in. It was a fluke. |  |
