If you were a referee what biases would you bring? 14:43 - Jan 30 with 3490 views | Illinoisblue | I would stop the over protection of goalkeepers at corner kicks. Goalies would have to be getting attacked by an axe murderer before I’d consider reaching for my whistle.

If it’s a tight offside and the assistant referee puts their flag up early then that could well take away a goal scoring opportunity.

Any player who said "Aw, c'mon ref" would get a yellow. I would never book any player who offered me a night with his wife/girlfriend.

If you were a referee what biases would you bring? on 20:57 - Jan 30 by DavoIPB | That used to be a rule. I don't know why it's not enforced anymore. I would send a manger to the dressing room for constantly shouting on the touch line. It's really irritating and unnecessary. |
David Elleray was 4th official in the Division 3 play off final. Neil Warnock was Notts County manager & he was shouting at Elleray from the off, disputing every trivial decision. After about 15 minutes, Elleray had had enough of this & had a little chat with the ref, who approached the foaming Warnock & told him if he didn't shut up, he would immediately be sent to the stands. Warnock was as quiet as a mouse for the rest of the game.

If you were a referee what biases would you bring? on 09:02 - Jan 31 with 431 views | Darth_Koont | Use of the arms in open play. Nothing wrong with going shoulder-to-shoulder or getting your body across but the constant grabbing, pulling and pushing is pathetic. It also makes the game much more bitty and messy, and disadvantages the team with the ball.

I’d insist on the outsides of the shirts being covered in acid. They’d soon stop shirt pulling or over-exuberant goal celebrating if it lead to lost fingers.

Rugby teams at one time adopted skin-tight shirts to stop opposition players grabbing on to their shirts. Ir certainly didn't flatter a few prop forwards & caused problems with binding at the scrum, but has football considered it?
