I can understand that. Slightly more modest than the OP… this one came to my attention recently, and I instantly wanted it.. (all apart from not being able to afford it) - it’s exactly the kind of thing I like, about 5-10 mins walk to my office, round the corner from Yasmin’s school.

Downsize?
It's only got 8 bedrooms! I don't think I could live in somewhere that pokey! There is a limit. And at least one of those is not en suite too.
It is remarkable what some former rectories/vicarages are like. Vicars used to be very well looked after once upon time. |  |

Wonder what the annual cost to run that place would be.
Sure the largest regular outgoing would be council tax, but also the bills, maintenance, insurances...
You'd probably need to have another good few mill in the bank to be sure to hold on to it for a lifetime. | |

I don't get why anyone would want to live in a large flat like that on the 29th floor.
As for the second one, I love the "high performing schools nearby". As if anyone buying a place like that would care what the local state school is performing like! | |

Very weird layout.
High maintenance gardens not to my taste either, so it's a no from me.
Would be happy to live in that lovely apartment over the garage, but seems a tad expensive at £22,962 pcm. |
Glad someone else mentioned the garden. Its a bit too... green for me. Hardly any colour at all and I guess lacking other interesting varieties of plants. |  | | |
