Why? I could care less about Trump and I don't have a habit of following him around or what he says - but I don't see what he said was wrong as it was indeed a very clever move by Putin, it's no different to saying that Hitlers Blitzkrieg was genius.
Unless I have missed something I don't see Trump saying that he thought it has led to a wonderful moment - I also don't think he should have said it publicly at this current time, but that doesn't mean he isn't correct - and myself agreeing that it was a clever move by Putin does not make me a Putin apologist - or Trump apologist.
