Rees-Mogg in defending Johnsons states that any Conservative leader on 15:23 - Apr 13 by rgp1 | I find the level of blubbery astounding, especially from some on here. What did you expect when normal behaviour was criminalised? |
Is this what is meant by a snowflake? Why should the law (especially the law written by those who are breaking it) only apply to lesser citizens and not the party of power? You and the other 67% of Conservative supporters who are happy with this really should take a long hard look at yourselves. When did this normal behaviour that has been criminalised begin too? With Jimmy Saville friend of Thatcher?

Wasted billions with the support of opposition parties! Oh wait I apologise. The opposition parties believed they should have spent more. It's a bit like the the bloke who lights his barbecue with lighter fuel only for some idiot to throw a can of petrol on it.

Please link your assertions that the opposition were saying the Government should have spent more on PPE contracts that did not go out to tender. Why are you making this up?

In time the tory party will eat itself alive. Unfortunately this will probably happen when labour are looking the other way. Unfortunately there is no opposition to this government as labour only resides in Islington! |
I keep asking you, because you keep repeating the party line and running with a 'yes but Labour' line so embarrassingly elaborate yet piss poor that I'm not sure that you're not actually a Lowhouse comedy account.

You haven't 'debated' a thing. You leapt in, threw a few insults and your toys out the pram. People like you are impossible. You criticise others on the thread, then say you feel the same way about the PM and this particular government, then you call everyone else Lefties. You're not making any sense nor do you even seem to know what point it is you're trying to make. [Post edited 13 Apr 2022 23:22]

Bit strong. Firstly it's Ardern and secondly, NZ is a sparsely populated (London is almost twice as populous) demographically young islands at the ends of the Earth. Her Covid success is noteworthy but it doesn't make her some kind of political genius. Outside of that she's arguably totally underwhelmed on tackling domestic poverty, enhanced a couple of trade deals (fair enough) and makes nice but largely vacuous statements about stuff that is roughly a third not NZ's business, a third relevant-ish to NZ but they are small enough for it not to be impactful (supporting Oz vs Beijing, green agenda) or a third home runs statements no one can disagree with. To me the global clamour for her is logical but it's a bit like Premier league pundits saying that Macclesfield's manager could do a job at Man Utd. It might be true but ultimately it's not totally comparable.

If you actually analyse what happened in Sweden compared to their neighbours they did appallingly. Also you don't recognise that Swedes as a general rule are more law abiding than us Brits and actually followed the rules in place. Plus more Swedes live alone as well as working from home. Quite why I'm bothering to respond is a mystery.

Interestingly there is no reference quoted for that statement in that paper - and given Sweden has a cumulative Covid mortality rate per capita well below the EU average [Our World in Data], lower than France for instance, I'd say it's a factually incorrect statement.
