Fabricant doubling down 20:11 - Apr 13 with 3240 views | Mullet | You'd expect nothing less from a man with balls enough to wear that syrup, but honestly. There was however a brilliant response from one union. I guess he's just a useful idiot happy to parrot this line, knowing his job's safe and it spreads division and softens focus on the corruption and double standards etc. He and the partygoers should all be removed from office immediately. But the system is not fit for purpose. [Post edited 13 Apr 2022 20:11]

Fabricant doubling down on 07:57 - Apr 14 by Mullet | Just doesn't happen does it? We can barely sit and have a brew together most days. Although I've been told that is changing at our place. If anything, the modern management way seems to be all about breaking up the staff room and ensuring staff don't mix across departments etc. Stops people talking and finding out stuff....... |
I have heard it said that Heads have made favourable comments when walking into nearly-empty staff rooms. I thought it was because they thought the staff were harder working by not taking a break but I guess that makes sense as well.

The professionalism of all NHS staff means he will always find them until the lack of funding has eradicated them. That is the biggest irony of it all.

Fabricant doubling down on 20:43 - Apr 13 by Fixed_It | I have never worked in a school (nearly 40 years) where any alcohol has been consumed on the premises - irrespective of any lockdown rules. I do recall one colleague turned up one morning years ago smelling of alcohol. He lost his job as a result. |
When I was in the 6th form at Northgate mecand a mate used to go in the Royal George at lunchtime as his mum used to do the lunches. There were a few teachers looking enviously at our scampi and chips.

Well no, that would be ridiculous. Clearly it's more like the odd spliff behind the sheds and hot knives in the staff kitchenette.

The problem is this government and it’s MPs throw these things out there for their non-thinking supporters to believe and regurgitate. Some of it sticks. Another step towards an end of proper democracy. They want an uninformed, brainwashed electorate.

Thanks to the press they're managing to create one too. We have potentially another two years until the next general election as well.

I'm afraid it's more serious than that. Khan is found guilty (subject to appeal) and a former justice minister questions the verdict. That strikes at the very heart of the criminal justice system. In his own small way Hunt (T) adds to this trend by declaring that Johnson didn't break the law (when the Met had already issued, and Johnson had already paid, the FPN). Fabricant is on the same track with his ".. the rules were not clear because he clearly thought he wasn’t breaking the rules" schtick. When a politician (particularly former justice minister but any politician) declares that he rejects a court/police verdict we get a glimpse of what the state might look like if we cease to apply the law of the land to our political representatives.
