9 goals after the 82nd minute in last 9 games yielding an extra 11 points from those goals. If only we could do that or at least not concede after the 82nd minute .

They really aren't very good and yet they hang on in games and nick the points.

Their win against us was a pure robbery and firmly exemplifies what you have said.

Could be said they make the right subs and have the correct approach to pick up these much needed points.

When you compare town with top end clubs the differences are so clear.

Set piece goals
Goals from long range
Goals late in the game

We are so so poor on all 3 of these.

I'll go along with the correct approach, must be about desire and maybe the crowd willing them on with noise a bit more than we get at PR?

For the most part, their fanbase have been more discontent and quicker to turn than ours.

Not sure we can moan about other teams getting late winners , or winning the “ must win” games. That’s what it’s going to take to get promotion. We’re just not capable of that this season. We can5 even beat the struggling sides, ( which is a bit of an historic problem with Ipswich Town anyway).

The year scum got promoted, ( can’t recall if it was from league one or championship), but I think they had something daft like 10 injury time winners …and countless 1-0 wins.

That’s what we have to do next season. If we don’t, we won’t go up.

Since they’ve had that huge wobble in form, they’ve really picked up again. I see they had close to 34k there today. I’ve got a sneaky feeling they will be the ones that ultimately get promoted through the L1 play offs this season.

For me , I think it’ll be either MK Dons or Plymouth. Both of whom I feel deserve it .

Good management with how he uses the subs and has trained them to keep going/stay focused for the whole game

With you arnie, most people already think we're up next season, we have so much to sort out, buying a striker isn't the holy grail, ATM I'd hope for 3-6th, that's hope,

It would have been a huge injustice if we never won today mind, we were by far the better team. These are the games we normally struggle in though, against clubs with not much to play for or near the bottom.

Despite not being ‘very good’ our record against the top sides in the league gives us a fighting chance if we do make the playoffs:
Wigan P2 W2
MK Dons P1 W1 L1
Rotherham P1 L1
Plymouth P1 W1
Wednesday P2 W1 L1
Wycombe P2 W1 D1
Oxford P2 W2
Ipswich P2 W1 D1
Portsmouth P2 W1 L1.

32/45 points against the better teams, is not an awful return. We’d have a chance if we are lucky enough to finish top 6. If Wycombe don’t make the top 6 I’d have us as favourites to win this year. There’s really no good side in this list above, Wigan aside (who we have thrashed twice this year).

We could have played another 90 minutes and you wouldn’t have scored. Having lots of possession with zero threat does not constitute you being robbed. If you don’t buy a goalscorer next season then you should be expecting a lot of ‘pure robberies’ again next year then..

We do everything right except conceding late goals when we have controlled a match for a majority of the time and putting these games to bed by scoring a second or third goal. There's definitely a part or a couple of parts missing in the makeup of the team. I have changed my mind on several occasions with regards to keeping, not keeping Norwood. As has been said it looks like Jackson will stay. As for Bonne and Pigott I would say they might leave. Bonne most definitely. Pig less likely as still under contract. Morsy aside have we still got enough grit in the team ? I would say no.

My concern in regards to set pieces is the KM came from utd where they had a terrible set piece record despite having a set piece specialist on the coaching team..

He needs to get this sorted here. I don't understand the 5 in the box at set pieces. Fill the box and put pressure on them.
What I amazes me is the lack of movement from our players. I know it's league 1 but it's not difficult to move in the box.

Though if you read the posts that’s what most of us saying. Yes, it’s all very well having possession and playing pretty football but if you can’t convert then you won’t win. We played you twice before McKenna came in but, if anything, we’ve got worse in that regard rather than better.
