W used to do Lucan family Partridge evenings and we still quote things on an almost daily basis.
Problem is though, currently 8 Lucans living in Lucan towers and none of them like Curb, in fact they can't stand it.
Every now and then my future ex wife takes it upon herself to moan about the lack of space on the Sky recording thing, I've got b"gger all on it, it's full of wifes stuff, real life murder things, Call the Midwife, Gogglebox and that thing where women are abused from birth, can't remember what it's called but the only bit I've seen a few of them get mowed down by a train trying to escape.
Anyhoo, she flicks through all this cr4p which takes up all the space and then bellows "Oh!, Curb your Enthusiasm, 110 episodes!
Edit - I was trying to find the clip where Larry was giving the Palestian bird one and from memory she was abusing him and he loved it - couldn't find it.

Re: Curb, you’ll have to be mysterious and misunderstood in your own home. Luckily, I think my girls just found something funny in an early episode and then settled into the style. But if people are waiting for a joke to be signposted then it’s probably incomprehensible for them. Just doesn’t work like that.
On the other hand, they did struggle a bit more with Partridge despite my best efforts. But that’s mostly down to the laugh tracks that they’re seemingly allergic to. And they do like Mid-Morning Matters.
