Labour don't support labour...time for a rebrand? 14:05 - Jun 26 with 2519 viewsBanksterDebtSlave

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2022/jun/26/labour-heathrow-airline-staff-p

Lammy was asked if he supported the BA check-in staff at Heathrow who have voted go to on strike over management’s refusal to reverse the 10% pay cut imposed during the pandemic.

“Many of us might want a rise of 10%,” Lammy said. “In truth, most people understand it’s unlikely that you’re going to get that.”

So, too much to ask to have a pay cut reinstated and 'fit to govern' means protecting the interests of shareholders over those of the working class. We have no meaningful choices in British politics.

Not very catchy though is it?

Joking aside I can’t see the electorate voting in anything else than a clone of the previous labour government.

Which would still be an enormous upgrade on the past 12 years.

You should do.

You've been completely and utterly betrayed by not only the government but most of the people were happy to give you a meaningless gesture each week but didn't demand a pay increase for you.

The spin will be that there was a pay rise three years ago. It wasn't. It was merely a lower real-terms cut than previously.

Personally, if one is called I'll be on the lines if I'm not scheduled to be working joining my colleagues during my breaks if I am(and DEFINITELY taking my allocated breaks) and working strictly to rule if on shift - I can't honestly justify to myself leaving our service uncovered, so that's my plan.

“We have no meaningful choices in British politics”
Your boy Chico told you all this many times. They all think the same thing about almost everything.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

Ah yes I remember Rees-Mogg praising Venezuela, and Corbyn pitching for rabid capitalism.

Pretty sure there's an ocean of difference even between middle of the road blandness offered by the Lib Dems an current labour and the open racism offered by the Tories, right now.

To be fair, at the 2019 GE the contest was between an incompetent posh racist who was rabidly pro-Brexit appealing to to a legion of not-living-in-the-real-world cultists and Boris Johnson, so you can see how Chico's arrived at that conclusion.

Hate to think how much rail fares will go up in January…..10% anyone?

There’s a special rail card to get around those costs ;)

I wonder when the NeoLib “left” are going to let go of their fantasy where they decided for a few years The Sun and the Daily Mail were their allies?

Going really well for Labour these days now you’ve got Keith, isn’t it? Biggest chance to engage youth and future voters a party could wish for, flushed down the toilet on the incorrect assumption upholding the status quo was what Britain really wanted. Ironically cry for Labour party unity after gatekeeping Labour as a pro-lobbying capitalism lite and telling all their new members to p1ss off.

Your smeary hot takes over the last few years are looking more and more ridiculous. And you're still doubling/tripling down

You have the unwavering commitment and dull intellect of the worst Brexiteers and Remainers. So I guess you at least have the politics you deserve.

I wish the Centrist Dads would form their own party of non-opposition. Or why not just join the LibDems that are already there?

How do you work that out?

Where's the clear water let alone the "ocean of difference" that exists in your mind?

Labour's record on immigration rhetoric and islamophobia – now and in the past – is just as bad. And they won't even oppose the Rwanda scheme with any serious and moral arguments.
