Padel 18:23 - Jul 4 with 1102 viewschicoazul

Do any boyos here play Padel? It’s wildly popular in South America and Italy and your boy fancies giving it a go, I’m a bit too old and creaky for tennis and squash now. Given to understand Padel is more of a game for all ages and fitness levels.
Any hints tips and suggestions to drop? They play it at Prested Hall near me.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!
Poll: With Evans taking 65% in Huddersfield, is the Banter Era over?

It's pretty massive here. My kids play sometimes. I guess the attraction is it's easier to get into than tennis and less hectic than squash. The rackets are dirt cheap for starters so it's just a simple sport to take up and see how it goes without shelling out loads of dosh at the beginning

It's taken off here in Scandinavia and is very popular. It was a sanctuary during the pandemic, which helped that development. Personally I have been playing 4-5 times per week now for quite some time. The kick smash is working ;)

Played a lot on holiday in Spain since I was young so quite the fan. Ended up paying my own padels too.

Looks a bit like Real Tennis to me.

Think they're installing some indoor Padel courts at Ipswich Sports Club on Henley Road - there was an outdoor pop-up court there earlier this year..

You are the obsolete SRN4 to my Fairey Rotodyne....

Yes, they've just put a 'pop up' court at Henley Sports Club and they're putting in 4 permanent courts at their Tuddenham Road sight.

Me and another mate are members up there already and play squash quite regularly, but another couple of mates have joined us a few times and played Padel and it's fantastic. I've actually watched it for some time, but the nearest court to me originally was Essex so never got round to playing it, but was great when Henley Road put the one up there.

Poll: We’ve got super KM, he knows exactly what we need. Woolfie at the back…
