Ed Balls on GMTV 06:36 - Jul 19 with 2300 views | peterleeblue | Having a little sly dig at Ipswich when referencing Santon Downham recording record temps. "Suffolk cant boast a Premiership or Championship club.........Ipswich Town" Like the chairman of Norwich managed to forget the trajectory his club are on.
Ed Balls on GMTV on 07:15 - Jul 19 with 2134 views | Churchman | Haha, I have grown to quite like Ed Balls. When he was Shadow diddly do I thought he was a bit of an idiot. Errr, no he’s not. If there were more people in politics like him and his wife we might have something better than the muppet show we have now. If he hadn’t had a dig, I’d have been disappointed!

He’s ok isn’t he. I think he’ll be like a Labour Portillo.

He reminds me a bit of Portillo - not least because he likes a bit of travel and media work. In terms of presenting, I don’t think he’s as good as Portillo (who always came across as a smug spanner in govt), but there are a lot worse out there.

Ed Balls on GMTV on 09:00 - Jul 19 with 1581 views | NthQldITFC | But we can boast a premiership, small 'p', so balls to Ed and all the other tacky little yellow success-starved feckwits and their silver allergies!

Ed Balls on GMTV on 09:22 - Jul 19 with 1491 views | STYG | Most people seem to like Stephen Fry. He's done some amazing charity work, especially for mental health and campaigns against discrimination, yet I still can't stand him. Ed Balls however seems like a decent guy that just sadly chose to support that lot. Comes across as a nice man, who doesn't take himself seriously and I'm all for such friendly digs. After all, we have a lot more ammo than them. In a year or two when we are back alongside them, they'll still have no history of any note.

To me, Balls is like your Norwich mate at work that you joke with, whilst Stephen Fry is that Chris Reeve guy.
Ed Balls on GMTV on 09:51 - Jul 19 with 1343 views | DinDjarin | There is a lot of things I dislike about Norwich but he actually is not one of them. He seems an OK bloke.
Ed Balls on GMTV on 09:56 - Jul 19 with 1318 views | PositivelyPortman | I like Ed, Fry and Delia. There I’ve said it and it’s good to get it off my chest. Ed’s wife has the Tories squirming with every speech she makes, so I like her too. Finally, and don’t drum me out of TWTD, if we’d yo-yo’d up and down from Prem to Championship as often as they have, I’d have been slightly pleased with that too. Yes I know they’ve never won anything, nor likely too, and they were relegated again last season, but the ride would have been fun. Be honest now.

He’s an odd one, Stephen Fry. Clearly very clever and talented and has done lots of good things career wise and with charities/causes. A top bloke. Yet he is not somebody I’d have any desire to meet even if we were in the same room. Don’t know why, it’s just how it is and I’m sure the feeling would be mutual!

I can't even explain what it is. On paper, he's done so much that I'd think what a great human. He doesn't come across as being better than everyone else even though he's clearly of significant intellect. He doesn't come across as condescending. It's probably really unfair of me and because he just comes across as a proper amalgamation (voice, appearance, clothing) of everything you'd expect from a Tory!
