I think the urgency on new Signings has cooled somewhat. Anyone coming in now will have missed pre-season familiarisation and would probably have to do a stint of bench warming, at least for the friendlies. (Ronaldo is probably the exception). There are good signings to be had, we just need to get it right. We all got caught up in the buzz last year with a new signing being announced every time you didn’t look at your phone for more than an hour. I think it’s more important to get the right personnel through the door this time. There are clubs out there who don’t yet have a squad. | | | |

I’ve seen him play a few times thanks to family connections - fast, a few tricks up his sleeve, good eye for goal. Can play lone striker, would suit our system. A couple of years ago he seemed too good for league one but seemed to lose his way a bit in the championship.

If you look at our signing to-date, nobody had ‘def info’, it was never going to be true.
I just wish it was, think he’d be an unreal signing for us and as I said above, I actually think I’d choose him over Hirst if it was my say. I’m sure McKenna knows better than me and here’s hoping whoever he brings us gets us promoted! [Post edited 19 Jul 2022 22:40]

I’m told he will score and assist more with a partner…. But that could be someone like Chaplin, with clever little passes between them, I don’t think we need a big battering ram up front.

Completely agree. However I am not. I've never claimed to be 'ITK' in the past, because I'm not privy to any info from an Ipswich POV. However I do know someone from the Blackpool side of things & it's been confirmed we have made an approach for him and things moved on, on Monday.
