The swimming pool at Sidegate definitely smelt better than the food, it was the kitchen that was next to the swimming pool and the good wheeled across to the main hall. You’ve reminded me of the smell and it wasn’t a pleasant memory. [Post edited 22 Jul 2022 7:29]

I thought the dining room was there too but it's the smell that lingers. You're probably right though, it was a few years ago.

As for Textbackup with his sweaty fanny infatuation - well, I didn't think anyone would bring the level down so low to be honest.

Sugar beet wafting in from Sproughton
The corn or wheat or whatever it was in the Cranfields building at Ipswich docks/waterfront
The piss-soaked underground walkways by Willis and the one up by what was George’s Bar roundabout
And obviously, the sweet aroma of burgers and hot dogs around Portman Road |
Can't believe nobody has said the sweet smell of the hot cross buns or even the bread from the factory on the old Norwich road.
