I can't remember what Kieran McKenna said about ballboys/girls when he was asked, but I know previous managers have given instructions that they take their time to get the ball back to make sure the team is set and to prevent the opposition getting an advantage. I think they've felt it's asking too much to get them to make a judgement on whether they should get the ball back quickly or slowly depending on whose throw it is. |

Exactly this. So frustrating.
I understand they may not read the nuances of the game but then surely the youth teams would be better suited to filling this role.
This just smacks of a community initiative but it’s of no value if the ball boys or girls don’t even fetch the ball at all.
I really don’t like criticising kids but it was embarrassing on Saturday and I wasn’t the only one who thought that in the stands. |  | | |
