Not a hot take but even before their dreadful start I couldn’t understand their transfer business. Why spend £55m on a centre back when Varane and Maguire are already there? I know Maguire has struggled but he wasn’t going to be dropped, so surely that money should have gone on a striker, defensive midfielder or right-back where United are dreadful. And what was the point of getting Eriksen essentially as an expensive back up to Fernandes. |  |
