Can anyone direct me to where I might find out the number of Ipswich players who have played for their country whilst at the club? And how many made their international debuts whilst at club?

Pride of Anglia probably your best bet, but won't detail debuts and hasn't been updated for last few years - will give you everything up until 2016ish though

Can't help with the debut question, but here's some stats for you:

Total number of players appearing for their country while on Town's books (ie including 7 loanees): 80

Highest number of caps awarded: 798, 11 for loanees.

Most capped player: Allan Hunter, 47 (+ 6 before he joined us)

Number of countries represented: 23

Earliest capped player: Billy Reed, Wales, 2 caps

Earliest capped England player: Ray Crawford, 2 caps

Total goals scored: 64 (I think)

Most goals by a player: Paul Mariner, 13 in 33 games (whilst at Town)

I think there was a video a while back, possibly by KOA, that showed a board somewhere in Portman Road with these kinds of details on it...I'll have a think and establish whether I dreamt it.

That's a fantastic website with a wealth of information (accessed through the index), and is bang up to date on many other things. I have come across it before but struggled to find it when I've been looking for particular information. I'll make sure I bookmark it now.

No you're not dreaming. I have seen that board and did take a photo of it once when on a tour of PR. Sadly, my photo files badly need sorting and I can't find it now.

Was it 1979/80 when we were able to field 10 outfield full internationals plus a sub? The likes of Burley, Mills, Beattie, Muhren, Thyssen, Mariner. Paul Cooper would have been capped in another era but he was the odd one out.

Interesting that it took nigh on 50 years to fill the first column during which period Town won the league - and became perhaps the best team in Europe - and only ten years to fill the third column when the club subsided into the third division

Even lying down, sprawled out in that louche manner, you can see that Mick Mills has amazing posture.

Three loanees missing from this honours board:

Anthony Georgiou, 2 caps
Troy Parrott, 1 cap (but might be 3, if he remained on the books up to June 8th 2021)
Cameron Carter-Vickers, 1 cap
