We all know we are going to pick up injuries throughout the season, I can't see much sense in wrapping players up in cotton wool at this stage of the season. You've said you don't care about the cup but Chaplin himself has said he does, and the manager clearly sees it as something worth worrying about at present - that may change in a month's time for the next fixture depending on circumstance.
As you say, we've potentially lost two good players for a couple of games, but equally, they could be absolutely fine and we've just erred on the side of caution. Not worth getting worked up about. | |
