What do we think? I haven’t seen him for ages and there was a lot of hype/expectation at the start of his time here. I’ve been a bit disappointed tbh. His control has been a bit suspect and it’s not quite going his way. But that was a nice cross he stood up at the back post for his assist. I can’t see him getting in ahead of Burns or even KVY soon though.

Really like him. He's been quality tonight.

We don't have another player like him. As a defender he's a mare to play against....yes.. sometimes his final ball isn't great but he causes absolute mayhem...often requiring being doubled up on.

A great squad player to have.

I've enjoyed watching him tonight, thought he played really well. Nobody is going to displace Burns if he's injury free but great to have him in the squad.

I’m still not convinced lol. That assist there, he had no idea where the ball was. It wasn’t a deliberate assist, he tried to control it and didn’t. It just bounced off him.

I’m probably way wrong, but I can’t see him starting in a league game. Great option from the bench though.

But it’s largely irrelevant. He’s a part of a pretty impressive squad. It feels like we’re going places.

I like him but can’t help but think a few more minutes in a competitive environment and he’ll just get better and better

70 mins in....defence tiring....you are putting on Edwards, Cats nephew...Aluko etc all.

It's ridiculous...I think KVY and obviously Burns are ahead of him but as I say...we don't have anyone like him. Just so happy taking players on. I'll forgive him the odd miscontrol and misplaced pass.

Imagine trying to defend against him. He's no idea what's happening...so you've got no hope! Lol

He gives us something that nobody else in this squad can. Direct running and genuine ability to destroy an opposition full back.

People always moan about his end product, but hes never really had a run in the team. He has a part to play, we will regret it if we dont utilise it properly.

People complain about his end product based on his first couple of games under Cook. It's something that has stuck but there's little evidence of it since he's come back from injury.

If he was perfect, he would be playing in the premier league!!!!

I think the opposite tbh, i think his confidence is shot so hopefully this will give him a boost. People saying he won't get ahead of Burns or KVY, ideally he likes to play off the left so if anything he'd be looking to be backup to Harness.

When we hired Kieran McKenna the things I really hoped for were:
i) A team that was well coached
ii) A defined style and pattern of play
ii) Someone who would improve players individually

I think we're seeing all of those things

His diagonal run and left foot shot that was well saved first half was great to see, along with his assists ofc. Confident going both sides and will bang one in soon. Rough edges? Yes clearly. I hope they can be coached out of him but I general I agree with Homer, we’ve no one else like him and he will shred some lads at this level. To be persevered with

I am with the OP. I thought he was pretty poor tonight. No end product, teamwork suspect, decision-making poor. It may be he needs games, but on this showing he is way down the pecking order.
