Should be a great day with all the special guests lined up
Leaving Sheffield at 10.30 for St Pancras but will have one eye on the footy all day obviously
And Nandi Bushell (young drummer/musician from Ipswich) will be performing with the Foo's too!
Nandi performed with the Foo Fighters in LA last year. The attached, hopefully if I've done it correctly, is a clip of her having been invited to perform with them all down to a drum-off challenge with Dave Grohl via twitter during the Covid lockdown. It's quite funny hearing Dave Grohl explain how that came about.
At the end of Nandi's performance, which was also the end of the concert, Taylor Hawkins gives Nandi two drum sticks to throw in to the crowd. She throws the first and then, as she draws her arm back to throw the second, she stops. TH gestures to her to throw it and when she doesn't he leans down and, I guess, she asks if she can keep the drum stick that he's given her. Which she does.
The Foo Fighters may not be everyone's cup of tea, of course. But please put the kettle on, make yourself a brew, and take a a few minutes to watch this. If, after I've posted this, the YouTube video doesn't show correctly would someone mind fixing it so it does please. Thank you.
