He's improving for sure. But brenna is a much better commentator for radio. And as someone who doesnt get to many matches, there is also a certain nostalgia/comfort of hearing Brenna. | |

He's getting better with every game. Matt Holland and Ian Westlake are both very good pundits alongside. Holland is a classic ex-pro, albeit much better than many, Westlake has really impressed me- he adds a lot of positional analysis and detail about players off the ball, rather than the normal "Ooh, that's gonna hurt! Not gonna lie, I always hated an elbow in the face, ha ha!" that you get from so many ex-players. | | | |

I like Westlake but after a while, to me, he feels like he's giving a lesson on every bit of play. It's almost too much of a coaching course and not enough just natural interaction with the main commentator.
He is good though and better than many others. |  |

That's what I really like though...insight and analysis. Call me boring but I don't go for the OTT blue tinted specs commentary.

Yes and my Westlake comments could totally be me. I do really like his insight and hearing it from a footballer's perspective.
Holland adds that 'cricket commentary approach' with anecdotes but he's a legend and so he has many to share. | |
