Absolutely no doubt about it, it was low over my garden and flying into the wind so wasnt going anywhere too fast, got a good look at it. Their body shape is very distinctive. Maybe the southerlies of the last few days have blown one or two stragglers back to these shores. |  |

Interesting, although I got a decent look at it, it was not enough to spot anything that might have verified it as any particular type of swift. I wonder why it is pallid swifts coming to out shores on the back of warm weather rather than common ones. |  |
