Plenty of space generally I expect! But we are going to to go in the away end for the novelty of being in a small away following.

Crawley v Accrington for me today. on 19:35 - Nov 5 with 1561 views | ITFC_Forever | Stood in with the away fans. Officially there were 149 of us, but I counted 88. And of that following, there were Sunderland and Southampton fans also ticking the ground off and a fair number of players family and friends. The actual number of Stanley fans probably wasn’t more than 70 at most. Friendly bunch though and made us feel most welcome. Stanley went 1-0 up in the first minute through Shaun Whalley (he of the late equaliser at Shrewsbury in late April) then contrived to score a bizarre equaliser from a corner - defender meets it with a bullet header 16 yards out towards the goal, another defender then headed it in to make it 1-1. Whalley then headed Stanley back in front, they then scored an extremely well-worked corner with a brilliant finish to make it 3-1 at half-time. Whalley then completed his hat-trick soon after half-time despite looking a mile offside when put through - I think even he thought he was offside. Game drifted a bit after that, and Crawley were awful. [Post edited 5 Nov 2022 22:23]

They have changed hands a few times over the years, when we first moved here, they were non-league so have done well to get into the League.

Just behind Norwich in terms of clubs I have no affection for. The Majeed's, Victor Marley, Steve Evans, John Yems, not to mention getting chased out of Town Mead (30 years ago). There is a need for a second strong Sussex team, but there are more worthy candidates in my eyes.

Be joining Colchester in the conference next season. Did the 3 celebs they picked from a celeb team play?

Don’t think so, read something on line that they couldn’t play yesterday. Knew about the Crypto loons, that’s partly why we decided to stand with the away fans.

Mine too. The only times I go to or near the ground is to see grandson play on the all weather pitches next door or at the K2. See the occasional local band at the Redz bar and I remember seeing Town there for a mickey mouse cup game during the McCarthy era (which of course we lost!) and a pre season friendly once..
