Bellingham is the next big thing isn't he? 19:49 - Dec 4 with 3995 views | Mullet | Stands out a mile in this team for me and has the belief to go with it. Was impressed with Senegal early doors and Cisse's tactics, really stifled us at times, but now we are flying. Good game if it carries on this way.

For one so young, he seems to have an old head on young shoulders. The world seems at his feet, lets hope he puts another fantastic performance in on Saturday to confirm his emergence on the world stage.

Bellingham is the next big thing isn't he? on 13:42 - Dec 5 by Vic | Yeah - hear what you say; it's such a shame that Rooney fella never pushed on. You silly pillock - he only went on to become England's top scorer! You love it don't you - I bet that off TWTD you're actually a funny guy. A proper Jack Dee! |
Mind you, he is right about Michael Owen. His career went right down the pan. A meagre 200+ appearances for Liverpool, a goal every other game, also played for Real Madrid, Newcastle and Man U and failed with England scrabbling a paltry 89 appearances and 40 goals. Hardly compares with Robert Fleck or Grant Holt’s efforts for them lot. [Post edited 5 Dec 2022 20:52]

Rooney was a great player. It was disgraceful that Ronaldo recently trashed him as his unselfishness at Man United helped Ronaldo become the player that he is/was. Despite of field problems in his younger days he has matured into a really sound and good bloke as well. I live near Derby and he is adored by Derby fans for not jumping off the sinking ship when he could have gone to Everton. He did an incorrect but in my mind superb thing by dipping into his own pocket to make sure some of Derby's younger and lower salaried players got paid. He had to answer to The FA for that. He got away with an admonishment as they recognised what he did albeit wrong was a good intentioned action. [Post edited 5 Dec 2022 20:35]

Clearly you don’t remember a teenage Rooney threatening to win the Euros almost on his own and brushing Zidane off the ball. He was never as good again. And never made any impact in tournament football - apart from getting himself sent off
